| About Us |
The TATRY Polish Folklore Ensemble was founded in 1973 as a means of maintaining and preserving Polish culture in Montreal through the presentation of traditional dances. The Ensemble is made up of first-, second-, and third-generation Canadians, all of Polish descent, who serve as ambassadors of Polish culture to the Polish Community and the general public. The troupe has performed extensively in Montreal, participating at events organized for the Polish Community of Montreal, as well as for various municipal multicultural festivals and events in and around the Greater Montreal area. Over the years, the Ensemble has proudly represented the culture and folklore of Poland at multicultural festivals in the provinces of Quebec and Ontario, at the Milwaukee and Syracuse Polish festivals in the United States, and has participated in three editions of the International Polish Folklore Festival in Rzeszow, Poland. |
